"Designer and creative director Theo Williams's career has seen him progress from designing products for Alessi, Lexon, Technogym, Prada and founder and creator of Another Brand to Head of Design for John Lewis Home via five years as Creative Director of Habitat following on from Sir Terence Conran and Tom Dixon. He has recently been appointed Design Director at Kingfisher plc, the largest home improvement retailer in Europe, and the third largest in the world. It's a path that's seen him demolish the boundaries between design disciplines, variously tackling product and furniture alongside print, packaging, retail and brand development. 2016 - 2017

Commissioned to co-design and develop a capsule of accessories for the McLaren Honda Formula 1 team. Developing a diverse collection of products from pens and notebooks to bags and key chains, all emboding the Mclaren Honda brand.

A simple collaboration between designer and manufacturer working directly as partners to create a business with products rooted in the DNA of Another Brand. The success of the model is based upon the designer and manufacturer understanding each other’s strengths and capabilities. The structure provides manufacturers with a unique opportunity to be a part of the creation of this lifestyle brand. Products are rooted in the DNA of Another Brand and encompass diverse categories.

John Lewis

Head of Design. 2011 - 2014

An influential three-year spell as Head of Design for John Lewis. With a remit for the design strategy for home seasonal collections, Williams made his mark with the creation of the innovative and inspiring ‘HOUSE’ brand. John Lewis commented that, “his work on the ‘HOUSE’ range in particular has created an important legacy for our home product assortment.” - John Lewis


Creative Director. 2006 - 2011

Focused on pure design of product and steered away from the high street narrative of a seasonal collections, focusing instead on well-developed and designed products representing contrasting production techniques. 2009-2010 catalogue for Habitat represented the culmination of all his experiences over the years, showcasing the home and the city as the Habitat we live in. Combining a real sense of honesty of observations about where we live, it met with critical acclaim and resonated perfectly with the heritage of Habitat. "Theo William's has become the Design Director of MEXX’s for licensed products and branding and corporate image as of February 2004. With his strong expertise in product design and art direction he has been commissioned to strengthen Mexx corporate identity and guide the product development process of all Licensed Products and clothes branding, to take the brand to a higher ‘Masstige’ level."


Creative Director. 2001 - 2002

With a mandate to ‘bring soul to their products’, Commenting on his influence at Lexon, House & Garden Magazine described how “Williams’ design spirit has already infused everything from the packaging to the catalogue to the items themselves….” Inramouros. His products for Lexon were later awarded several Design Plus Awards.“Working with Theo always combines the efficiency of good design with being a personal pleasure. We understand his projects. 1995 - Present

“Theo designed the Honey Pot when he was 25 years old. It was launched in 1995 and is still on sale. He remains the youngest designer ever to have a product made by Alessi. If anyone were to design a honey jar again, his is the embodiment of the product, a classic” - Alberto Alessi

Providing design and creative direction over a broad range of products and categories, achievements include winning the prestigious Design Plus award for a number of products.
